May 26, 2008: Engine 2 was special called for a fire in a 1 story multiple dwelling in Hyde Park. Upon arrival, Engine 2 was directed to assist the first due crews. One of the apartments that burned belonged to Jason Simpson, a career Firefighter with the Fairview Fire District. Fairview has set up a fund to help their Brother Firefighter and donations can be mailed to: Fairview Professional Firefighters, 258 Violet Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
